As per the latest updates, after making the 140 lbs Super-Lightweight limit at the official weigh-in, Devin Haney rehydrated to 165 lbs on the night he fought Regis Prograis in the ring. On the other hand, Regis Prograis weighed in at 156.8 lbs on fight night.

This is to say, while Haney gained 25 lbs, Prograis gained 17.8 lbs since he weighed in at 139 lbs at the official weigh-in. It also means while Prograis was a Super-Welterweight, Haney was a Middleweight [an entire weight class above Regis] on December 9th. After the California Commission made the facts public, Gervonta Davis accused Haney of cheating.

After Devin Haney defeated Regis Prograis to become a two-division world champion, Bill Haney, the father of Devin, called out Gervonta Davis. Informing that they were “available,” Bill Haney asked ‘Tank’ to face ‘The Dream’ at 140 lbs. In this context, as Davis’ trainer suggested a potential fight between Devin Haney and Jaron Ennis, Bill Haney even provoked team ‘Tank’ by calling them “p***ies.

However, now that the California Commission revealed the shocking truth about Devin Haney’s rehydration, Gervonta Davis took to X and fired his shots back at ‘The Dream.

“Did he or did he not get caught cheating before? Them snac people?” wrote ‘Tank’ Davis. In a follow-up, Davis also ridiculed Eddie Hearn for considering a potential contest between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney.

I can’t see the others getting together at pace in making that fight,” said Hearn about Garcia vs. Haney. “We’d love to get it made as soon as possible,” he added.
