Despite Admitting to Have “Completed Boxing”, Chantelle Cameron Details Her Mindset Ahead of Rematch With Katie Taylor

On November 25, we turn to the second chapter of the saga written by Chantelle Cameron and Katie Taylor. Having won all her 22 bouts, 6 through KO, Taylor saw her first defeat against Cameron. This was a possible knell for her undefeated record. But a moment of sheer pride for Cameron. Their initial fight has already laid the premise for their second fight.

Speaking of the same, Cameron added, “Because she’s such a good fighter. That’s been done and now I just have to do it again. It’s just about improving and being better, so that’s changed my mindset.” While the spirit of redoing what she did back in April governs Cameron, Taylor is not one to go without giving a fight.

After having lost her initial bout against Cameron, Taylor is now seen as the underdog by many. But the game has seldom abided by popular predictions. At the end of the night, it all comes down to who brings the most lethal crusade to the ring. Taylor echoed this sentiment. She said, “It doesn’t matter to me whether I am seen as the underdog or the favorite, whether my name is on the left or right-hand side. My mindset is always the same. We always train to win and I will have to push myself to the brink to do that.”

Regardless of who is on the other side of the ring, I think I win when I am at my very best.”
