In a recent pinch, the undefeated ‘Mexican Monster’ shared a clip on social media, showcasing the support he has received from the combat world to pursue a fight against ‘Cinnamon.’
Meanwhile, Canelo Alvarez has finally put a number on the fight, claiming he wouldn’t do it for anything less than that. And the amount he has demanded isn’t a joke! In a recent interview, the Mexican superstar asked for promoters to approach him with a figure in the $150 million to $200 million range. Whether he gets that money or not is yet to be seen, but people like Curmel Moton and Mike Perry are on board for the fight regardless.

Turning to Instagram, Benavidez shared the clip, captioning it, “ Nothing and No One Will Stop Me From Achieving My Dreams!” In the meantime, the clip showed Stephen A. Smith calling out Canelo to accept the fight because everybody wants to see it. Even mixed martial artist Henry Cejudo commented on the topic, stating, “He doesn’t want to fight the ‘Mexican Monster.’”
However, if that wasn’t enough, Floyd Mayweather blatantly accused Canelo of ducking Benavidez. Even Jim Lampley chimed in, stating, “[The] boxing world wants to see him in the ring with Canelo Alvarez.” What’s more, when Curmel Moton and the rest of the boxing world discovered the clip, they had a similar idea.

There was a time, not long ago when Canelo defeated Jermell Charlo and proved everyone wrong about his age. However, this time, he has found himself on the opposite end of the stick. Rising boxing star Moton hopped on the post to reveal his thoughts on Canelo avoiding a fight against Benavidez. Moton wrote, “The real [Mexican] king.”

Frustrated by the fight not materializing, MMA fighter Mike Perry expressed his thoughts on whether Benavidez deserves the fight. He wrote, “Strongest case. Fire Champ.” It’s worth mentioning that Terence Crawford and Jermall Charlo have also expressed a desire to fight Canelo.
The next person to comment on the post was Roberto Duran’s son, Bryan Duran, who suggested he is open to sparring with Benavidez. “I gotta come thru and get some work with brah,” the user wrote.

Someone else claimed that Canelo ducking the fight against Benavidez isn’t a rumor anymore. Instead, it has turned out to be a reality. The user wrote, “It’s not speculation anymore. It’s a proven fact. Canelo is ducking.”
Another user sang praises for Benavidez, naming him the best in the world. The user wrote, “Hands down one of the best [if] not the best [boxer] in the world.”
