Boxing matchmaker Rick Glaser took to X and claimed Leonard Ellerbe‘s brain was of the same size as an ant’s. Well, Ellerbe was asked if Terence Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez was a bigger fight than Alvarez vs. David Benavidez in the sport. Although the CEO of Mayweather Promotions admitted ‘Bud’ was the best fighter in the sport, he argued in favor of Benavidez vs. Alvarez.

At this, Glaser was unimpressed with Ellerbe’s answer and took out his frustration on X. Today, after a fan pointed out that Glaser has been spreading misinformation about Canelo Alvarez’s next fight, Leonard punched the matchmaker back. Here is what happened.

As per the latest updates, Canelo Alvarez will likely square off against Jermall Charlo on May 4th this year. However, taking to X on February 12, Glaser predicted Canelo would announce his break up with PBC this Tuesday.  In addition, he also claimed that Alvarez would have to eventually fight Jaime Munguia since Jermall Charlo “is PBC affiliated“. “Looking forward to Tuesday’s big Canelo announcement!” he added confidently.

Contrary to Glaser’s prediction, Alvarez has made no such announcement yet. And while Alvarez vs. Charlo seems to be on, a fan forbade others to trust Glaser. In addition, they referred to the time Glaser was indicted on charges of rolling back odometers as a car salesman. As fate would have it, the tweet came to Ellerbe’s notice and he immediately reacted to it.
