Jake Paul is trying really hard to convince the boxing realm that he is a professional boxer. After having taken his first-ever loss against Tommy Fury this year, there remained a sense of uncertainty around the fighter’s career. But when his crusade against Nate Diaz worked in his favor, Jake Paul rose in confidence. So much so that he thinks he can land a fight against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
Will this confidence of his reach the wrath of the boxing realm? It has. His yearning for a Canelo fight stems from the avalanche that took its course in the T-Mobile Arena over the weekend. Canelo Alvarez in all his might proved his girth yet again, and this time against Jermell Charlo. When the gong heralded the awaited undisputed vs. undisputed fight, spectators knew what was to come. When the rounds progressed into closure, the Mexican fighter rose to victory through a unanimous decision. Canelo at the precipice of global domination, will Jake Paul get to fight him? Fans opine.

A fight against Canelo Alvarez would be a stepping stone for any fighter. A loss or a win, booking a fight against the legendary itself is a great deal. Or at least one would assume. But given the devastation Charlo has faced over the weekend, a fight against Canelo might as well be the final nail in one’s career- their coffin.
Taking to his Instagram, Paul manifested a fight. A fight that would change his career for good. But will he get it? He said, “Logan fought Floyd and one day I will fight Canelo and show the world why I’m the greatest sports story ever. See you soon Saul. Manifestation is real.” Both the Paul brothers seem to be a little too aspirational. In 2021, ‘Maverick’ Paul went against ‘Pretty Boy’ Mayweather for an exhibition bout that had gripped the entire boxing realm.

On the other hand, he also took to his X profile to further his manifestation. He posted, ” I’m 26. A 29 year old McGregor fought a 40 year-old Floyd & got stopped. I will fight a much younger Canelo and stop him. Mark this X.” Aspiring a Canelo fight? Still acceptable to the boxing world. But comparing himself to Conor McGregor? The internet would not have it.
One user took direct offense to his claims. Comparing the trajectories of MMA fame McGregor and Jake Paul, the user showed the fighter where he stood in the boxing industry.
Lol ..
Connor went from MMA to boxing against an undefeated legendary boxer…
Jake claims to be a boxer at a much higher weight class going against a legendary boxer…

Yes, Floyd Mayweather fought an influencer-turned-fighter. But will Canelo? One user gave Problem Child a scathing reality check. The user remained confident that Canelo in his professional career would not fight someone who’s not a professional.
he won't fight you during his professional career but go off king

On Instagram, folks were not any kinder. One user like many was taken aback by the claims made by Jake Paul. They said, “Bruhhh i almost had a heart attack”
Paul personifies the nickname he goes by. Problem Child indeed. He has invited much criticism his way only making such controversial claims. One fan joined the bandwagon and is calling out Paul. The user said, “Bro lost to fury how he think he gonna beat canelo.”
But what if the Mexican fighter accepts a fight against Jake Paul? Total annihilation of Paul and his career said a fan. They commented, “Canelo by murder charge.”
As the world still grapples with what went down in the boxing ring over the weekend, it will need a minute or two to process what Jake Paul has proposed. But is his manifestation in any way wrong? A fighter can dream of the biggest fights for their career. But what holds him to his vows is the work he puts in. It is to see if he manages to actually fight Canelo. However, if he does, that might change the entire paradigm of the boxing realm.
