“By Murder”: Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero Predicts Rival Gervonta Davis’ Fate Against ‘Japanese Monster’ Called Out By Floyd Mayweather to Get Tested in the U.S.A

Rolando Romero weighed in on the potential match-up between Gervonta Davis and Naoya Inoue. This match-up became a serious consideration in the boxing world after their recent notable victories this year. More so, after Floyd Mayweather demanded the ‘Japanese Monster,” to fight Davis in the United States of America. In addition, he wanted random blood and urine testing for the fight. On April 22nd, ‘Tank,’ fought and defeated Ryan Garcia in stunning fashion and continued his undefeated streak. Meanwhile, Inoue was already making waves in the boxing world over his array of spectacular knockouts. Moreover, he legitimized his skill in the eyes of many after he defeated Stephen Fulton to become the unified super-bantamweight champion of the world.

The two became one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Subsequently, the talks of them facing one another escalated. This ignited distinct opinions from fans and boxers such as, ‘Rolly.’ However, ‘Rolly,’ is a a rival of Davis so will he side with Inoue? Or does he factor in the weight advantage of his rival and predict his victory? For all we know, he had a decisive answer.

Davis or Inoue? Who does Rolando Romero fancy?

Romero is the current WBA super-lightweight champion. In addition, he fought Davis only last year and got handed his first-ever defeat by the undefeated boxer. Needless to say, his opinion on this match-up is relevant as he has  first-hand experience facing, ‘Tank.’ On his Instagram Live, he was asked about his prediction for this potential match-up.

In response, he could not be more confident about Davis being the victor if the two were to meet in the squared circle. However, at the same time, he gave, ‘Japanese Monster’ due credit for being an incredible boxer. He stated, “Inoue vs. Tank? Tank by murder. You know Inoue is a good fighter and all, you know he is very talented. I can’t follow him, he doesn’t speak English.”

In addition, the weight difference between the two combatants is over 20lbs which is substantial. Considering the same, he thinks the weight advantage of Davis would play a massive role in determining the fight. Reflecting on the same, he added, “On top of that, Tank is way bigger.”

His take on this potential match-up is not an unpopular one. Many fans and boxing pundits consider the bout to be unfair given the weight disparity.
