Recent reports, however, suggest a potential turnaround, as both fighters are now reportedly in the final stages of securing a fight.

The tentative date for the fight has been announced by a long-time journalist Dan Rafael, and he revealed that the bout is scheduled for April 20 in Las Vegas. This anticipated bout is poised to take center stage as the headline event of a DAZN pay-per-view offering. Moreover, as it turns out, the WBA super lightweight world title will be at stake for this bout. However, he claimed that the fight is still in its negotiation phase.

Following Garcia’s announcement, Haney responded with a taunting remark on social media, initiating a war of words. In response to ‘KingRy’s’ jabs, ‘The Dream’ didn’t remain silent.

In one of the videos, Garcia stated, “Devin lost his shot. He thought it was Haney vs Garcia, he should’ve known it was Garcia vs Haney. He did 35,000 PPV buys.” Well, this wasn’t taken lightly by the former undisputed lightweight champion, and he was ready with a response on the X. Haney wrote, “If Ryan such a this big draw why he only fought on PPV once.. never before never after! Why he couldn’t sell out the last arena he fought in?
