On his social media, the former multi-weight champion does not shy away from showcasing his luxurious items and lavish lifestyle. However, this may come as a surprise but, ‘TBE’ did not send his children to a private school but rather a public school. Why does he do that? What prompted him to resort to this way of schooling children?

Mayweather is a family man through and through. He is a father of four children with different women. One would assume, given his abundant wealth, that the retired boxer would send his children to one of the best schools in the country. However, that is far from the case. In a resurfaced clip, posted by upprovement on Instagram, Mayweather revealed that public school resembles the world at large, compared to private schools. In addition, he likes the diversity of public schools.
Reflecting on the same, he stated, “I make sure all my kids went to public school. Not private school. Public school is more like the real world, I feel like private school is more like a boot camp. Everybody gotta dress the same, cuz they wanna keep everybody in a level playing field. But public school is more like a real world. It is more diverse.”

In the same interview, the 50-0 boxer revealed that he found out his daughter was the only black-skinned girl in her class when she was studying in a private school. This left him in a state of frenzy and wanted her to be with a more diverse crowd. He stated, “If you go to private school, it is either white, Jewish. My oldest daughter was going to private school. I come to find out, my daughter is the only black kid in her class. I said we cannot do that. So I put her in public school.”
