Daniel Dubois came out victorious in his clash against Jarrell Miller. The bout was paramount for both of their careers. On paper, the fight appeared to be a game of inches. However, Dubois’ agility and youth outshined in the bout despite being underweight. The fight was competitive while it lasted, and Miller was an aggressor for many rounds.

Many notable personalities from the realm of the sport have come out to make their opinions known. On one hand, they celebrated the victory of Dubois and on the other, they slammed Miller. Here are a few reactions reflecting on the same. Former welterweight champion of the world, Shawn Poter thinks the stoppage was too early and Miller could have competed further, but he would’ve eventually lost.

On the contrary, heavyweight boxer, Jared Anderson made fun of Miller and compared him to a punching bag.

Whereas, the British promoter, Frank Warren, lauded Dubois for this well-deserved victory and was glad to see him come back after his last defeat.

Meanwhile, former light-welterweight champion, Ohara Davies also mocked Big Baby and compared him to a punching bag because of his inability to defend himself.

Last but not least, boxing reporter Michelle Phelps was also impressed to see Dubois get the finish in the manner that he did towards the end of the fight.

Did Dubois keep his word?

Dubois predicted his fate. Ahead of the bout, he asserted that he would stop ‘Big Baby’ despite the weight disparity. Turns out, he did just that and stopped the heavyweight boxer in the tenth round. In an interview, he had stated, “No, we’ll make him quit. That’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to make him quit. Turn it around on him, you know. Show them, you know. Do our job properly and take his ‘o’ away.”
