Francis Ngannou might have struggled to sustain the pressure of Anthony Joshua. But hardly does anyone question his worth as a ‘real boxer’. However, acclaimed entertainer and sort-of boxer, Beetlejuice takes exception to this premise.

Last night, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, former two-time world champion, ‘AJ’ demolished his Cameroonian-French opponent, Francis Ngannou, in a second-round knockout. The fight, that saw AJ take control of it, right from the beginning, has hugely been credited in favor of the Londoner. But, unimpressed, Lester Greene, aka, Beetlejuice, known for his frequent appearances on the Howard Stern show, called on the fighter for a fight. A bout he claims will be against him, a ‘real boxer.’

Who is this ‘real boxer’?

When Tyson Fury collided with ‘The Predator’ last year, the argument of a world champion fighting a debutante was a valid criticism against the ‘Gypsy King’. However, once, Ngannou managed to skew the fight in his favor that night, he also assumed the credibility of a ‘real boxer.’ But that does not convince Greene.

On his Instagram, the entertainer posted an image of Anthony Joshua, posing proudly. He also photoshopped himself in the image beside AJ, flexing his physique. In captions, he wrote, “@anthonyjoshua try dat on a real boxer.”

Beetlejuice has been known for making these outrageously ridiculous claims. Many, therefore, even specifically ask him to comment on these issues, hoping to draw out an equally ridiculous claim. Not long ago, someone stopped Beetlejuice on the street and asked him who would win in a boxing match between him and Floyd Mayweather. You can only guess what an outrageous answer to that question would sound like. The guy then asked Beetlejuice who would win in a fight between him and Mike Tyson. The next answer, too, was in kind.

Today, while he’s not a popular face, he continues to, however, enjoy some relevancy. In February 2021, he made his first appearance in five years on the Howard Stern Show. Over there, he debuted a remixed version of his 2015 song “Beetle in the House”. It featured the likes of Snoop Dogg, Sean Paul, and Big Freedia. Furthermore, in 2o23, he hit virality for a TikTok video titled, “Just Hanging Around.” As of now, Beetlejuice can’t help but entertain us with his quips and claims. What will he claim next?
