Such achievements require massive determination. In a recent podcast with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray on ‘The Let’s Go Podcast’, the boxer gets candid about his success.

The clip where he speaks with Brady in this regard was posted on their Instagram earlier yesterday where the Mexican fighter discusses various subjects with the three. With only days remaining for the battle with Jermell Charlo, Alvarez has shared his recipe for winning every time you step into the ring. What learning does the boxer have to offer?

What has 18 years of experience taught Canelo Alvarez?

One of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, Alvarez debuted at the young age of 15, winning his bout against Abraham Gonzalez and went on to fight his first world title at the age of 20.

33 now, the 18 years of experience in the ring has taught him some valuable lessons about how to maintain his stature as a winner. In a conversation with the champion, Tom Brady, the NFL quarterback star lauds him for never disappointing the ones who root for him.

Alvarez appreciates the sweet compliment and explains what helps him achieve this.“Thank you, I appreciate it. I always try to do my best and it works. The key to continue winning- be loyal with your team. Always be disciplined, with your family, in the gym, everything. I think you’re gonna get good results.” Alvarez takes a holistic approach to life. It is not just training that he stays loyal to but puts in an equal effort in maintaining a good bond with his loved ones.

A surprise for Jermell Charlo

The Charlo-Canelo fight had been brewing for years is finally taking place on 30th September at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The two undisputed champions assessed each other in the pre-fight press conference. Charlo had to move up two weight classes but claims to be ready with his skills and experience for what Alvarez has to bring into the ring.

Alvarez, however, has a warning for him. “You don’t, brother, you don’t know. You don’t experience this kind of level of fighting. You will see and you will learn.” Alvarez advises him to not take him lightly as this will not be just another fight.
