If you are an athlete and Drake has put money on you to win, you might have to worry. Drake Curse is real, and it even once engulfed Anthony Joshua, when one of his fights got hit. An old clip of ‘AJ’ explaining his belief in Drake Curse has hit the internet, as the Canadian singer has recently bet $615,000 hoping for a win for Francis Ngannou.

Drake’s betting history has an odd and peculiar pattern. If he has bet on any team or athlete to bag a win, in most probability, his bet won’t have any returns. His curse has a victim rate of over 90% and started with Serena Williams in 2015. Now it’s ready to strike ‘The Predator’, and the latter could have listened to whatever the former British champion had to say about the Drake curse.

The Watford native in 2019 was scheduled to face Jarrell Miller with his IBF, WBO, and WBA Super World straps on the line. However, that fight got shelved within a week of Joshua posting an image with Drake. Miller had tested positive for a drug test, and as a result, the fight had to be canceled.

In an old conversation with ESPN, the 34-year-old could be heard explaining why he would never have Drake in his locker room before any fight. “I know I shouldn’t. You know about the Drake curse? It’s real though. This is what I’m saying, what’s weird though is I took a picture with Drake. We took it before [Jarrell] Miller got banned. Miller then had a drug test and got popped. The fight got cancelled!” Joshua expressed.

Markedly, Andy Ruiz Jr. replaced Miller, and that worked out worse for him. Ruiz Jr. handed Joshua his first professional loss, snatching his title. It would take another endeavor and 6 months for Joshua to redeem himself and get his titles back from Ruiz. Fast forward to today, and almost 5 years later, Drake has a new victim in ‘The Predator’.

Can ‘The Predator’ end the Drake Curse?

If Ngannou pulls off an upset and defeats Joshua, Drake will cash out an estimated payout of $1,906,500.
