CEO of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe has issued clarifications after he came heavily under fire for a response to Gervonta Davis’ X post that fans thought was rather insensitive.
Earlier, one of ‘Tank’s’ fans, Ray Jackson, had informed his following on X that his father was not well. While the entire community came together to wish his dad a speedy recovery, Tank too shared his words of comfort. In a standalone post, he wrote, ” Yo @RayJack97010720 keep ya head up bruv..” However, in what Ellerbe now suggests was an error, the CEO reposted Tank’s message with a laughing emoji that irked fans, with most calling him out. Now, with his clarification of what actually happened, fans might just think about giving him a pass.

Rattled by the sensitivity of the matter, Ellerbe has elucidated that he responded to the wrong post with the wrong message. In response to another user who quizzed on what he found funny in Tank’s post, the CEO wrote, “That was for someone else we were talking about the Ravens putting the beat down on the 49ers.”
