In the realm of influencer boxing, a storm is brewing. In a fresh set of attacks, Slim Albaher has jotted down the fashion in which he would defeat KSI, the person who started the entire phenomenon of influencer boxing.
For a while now, KSI, the founder of Misfits Boxing, the bastion of influencer boxing, and another name of the same league, Albaher have been feuding. It all started when the British Rapper/YouTuber claimed that Albaher had been ducking his marquee fighter Salt Papi. Affected by these claims, and to prove them wrong, the Yemeni-origin fighter went against Papi last year on the undercard of KSI vs. Tommy Fury, winning via a 4th-round knockout. While it seemed like the tussle between ‘JJ’ and ‘Hitman’ had died down, very recently it was reignited.

In an X, formerly Twitter, post, 29-year-old, Albaher suggested that if he were to clash against KSI, the fight would definitely be in his favor, and overwhelmingly so. He wrote, “I’d knock out KSI under 3 rounds Via Right hand Schniper.” “Right hand schniper” has become a popular gesture the fighter makes every time he wins a fight.

This is not the first time Albaher has come out attacking JJ. A couple of days ago, in a series of posts on X, the undefeated fighter took digs at KSI’s forehead, a means of perhaps instigating the fighter, who has been rather quiet amidst the ongoing fiasco. In one post, he wrote, “The Only fight I see myself losing to Ksi is the Battle of the Foreheads. He wins every time.” It was followed by another, this time a picture of the 30-year-old fighter, with tic-tac-toes drawn on his forehead. Albaher captioned, “Who tryna play me in Tic Tac toe.”

While these seemed cheeky to an extent, in the following post, a serious one in fact, he suggested that KSI, who in his words fights by performing “jumping jacks” in the ring cannot knock him out. In other posts, he further claimed that the London-based cruiserweight has been dodging him for a while, and he asserted that he deserves to fight KSI. Why? Well, because, per him, they both embarked on their boxing journey around the same time, against the same league of opponents, and the showdown of this could be a fight between them; something he suggests fans want.
While he has been relentlessly provoking KSI, the latter has remained shush. Meanwhile, he took a decision that shocked fans.

JJ Relinquishes Title
Despite registering his first loss against Tommy Fury last year, KSI continued to hold on to the Misfits Cruiserweight belt. However, in an X post earlier today, he relinquished the title citing vibrant plans. He wrote, “I have enjoyed the honor of being The Misfits Cruiserweight Champion immensely…I have other plans in the pipeline and it wouldn’t be fair for me to hold that title any longer so…I am relinquishing the belt and a new champion will be crowned on the next Survivor Tag!”
