We all have our own ways to rest after an overwhelming series of events. It seems Anthony Joshua needs a considerable amount of time in the darkness to clear his head. Moreover, the darkness retreat costs £2,000. Joshua is presently in a period between fights, anticipating a match against Deontay Wilder in the Middle East after his victory over Robert Helenius in August. However, the fight against Wilder might be postponed until March, potentially prompting Joshua to consider an interim bout during the winter months.

Joshua’s friend posted on social media, informing fans about the £2,000 darkness retreat. Joshua spent 4 days in a pitch-black room. Fans, however, find this method quite odd and dramatic.

Fans confused about Anthony Joshua’s “darkness retreat”

While some attempt to understand it from the British fighter’s perspective, others are not so forgiving. Fans have mockingly suggested cheaper ways of achieving similar results.

“All this to lose the next fight the same way,” said one fan harshly, predicting another loss coming Joshua’s way.

“Bit dramatic lol just sit in the toilet and turn the light off,” another fan called him dramatic and asked him to sit in a dark toilet for the same effect.

“if AJ wants to just experience darkness all he needs to do is grow a pair and fight Wilder,” said another fan accusing Joshua of ducking Wilder.

“This is where lions are made but wearing a Versace robe with AirPods and a blow torch for a fire sure,” said one fan sarcastically, calling him out for being vain.

“Good on you deal with the stuff and listen to the emotion before you have it what was going thru head deal with that you have nothing to prove just be yourself find your true self,” said one of the fans who was much more empathetic than the rest and cheered Joshua on.
