After the winning performance against Nate Diaz in August this year, Jake Paul will return against Andre August this Friday. Unlike most of the athletes Paul has boxed, August is a ranked Cruiserweight and fans are excited to see ‘The Problem Child’ deal with him.
In this context, ahead of Paul vs. August, ‘Rolly’ Romero offered his honest opinion about the mentioned fight. In doing so, he painted a bright future for ‘The Problem Child ‘ in the sport.
Rolly Romero encourages Jake Paul to become a world champion in boxing

Although Rolando Romero admitted that he was unaware of the record held by Andre August, ‘Rolly’ was supportive of Jake Paul’s next fight. According to ‘Rolly’, by his personality and strategies, Jake Paul brings significant viewership to the sport which only helps boxing. Likewise, the current WBA Super Lightweight champion, who is also Ryan Garcia’s next potential fight, wished Paul vs. August all the best.
“I don’t know who the Andre dude is. But, I’m going to support anything Jake Paul does because Jake Paul’s good for the sport. He’s bringing so many viewers to the sport. And it’s good,” said Romero. In this context, on being asked what he thought of Jake Paul trying to get himself ranked with his upcoming bout, ‘Rolly’ boldly added, “I can see Jake Paul fighting for a world title and even winning a world title.”
On that note, before concluding Romero even hoped Jake Paul would share the ring with Canelo Alvarez.

Romero believes Canelo vs. Jake is equally “good for boxing”
For a considerable length of time, Paul has been calling out Canelo Alvarez. After the Alvarez vs. ‘GGG’ trilogy fight, ‘The Problem Child’ not only called Canelo “old” but also confidently claimed he would beat Alvarez in boxing. Recently, Paul again took to X and reiterated his interest in the fight. Speaking of Canelo vs. Jake, Romero said, “I think that fight would be good for boxing.”

“Canelo is one of the pound-for-pound greatest fighters of all time. But, I wanna see that. Just the lead-up is going to be great. That’d be great.
