It turns out Leonard Ellerbe can recognize young talent, not just in boxing but also in other sports! In a recent twist, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions reacted to 5’9 Isaiah Thomas’ son, Jaiden Thomas, on X recreating his father’s iconic move. While the two-time NBA all-star may not appear on the court anymore, the viral clip of his son has left quite an impression on the fans about his son’s future.

In the now viral clip, the 11-year-old maneuvered his way from the baseline to the free throw, pulling a faint and 180-degree switch up to score the basket. Meanwhile, Ellerbe, who is often busy expressing his thoughts on boxing and its prospects, turned his attention to the NBA. Seeing such a dominant show of performance against kids much larger in size, Ellerbe left a five-word reaction to the video.

Earlier today, Overtime shared the clip on the social media platform with a caption that read, “Isaiah Thomas’ son, Jaiden, knows how to get a bucket.” Moreover, how can the son become the talk of the town without the father finding out? So, Isaiah Thomas quickly left some words of motivation for his young self on the platform.

The retired NBA baller wrote, “Just keep grindin’ killa.” The clock hadn’t turned a lot when Ellerbe found the thread and decided his two cents would give the story a happy ending. “Got it from his daddy,” wrote Mayweather’s business partner. However, Ellerbe wasn’t alone in praising the future NBA star as Jaiden caught the eye of a veteran of the sport.

Promising words from the NBA’s best ball handler

After the clip had made some rounds on the internet, Jamal Crawford was wide-eyed at Jaiden’s ability on the court. So, the three-time Sixth Man of the Year shared the clip on his Instagram story with some words of motivation.
