On Sunday, the Coliseum will roar to life with NASCAR action, starting at 1:30 p.m. with the NASCAR Mexico Series’ King Taco LA Batalla en El Coliseo on the temporary quarter-mile asphalt track. Then, at 5 p.m., the excitement will reach its peak with the NASCAR Cup Series’ Busch Light Clash. The main event will witness 23 drivers vying for victory over 150 laps, with only green flag laps contributing to the tally.

So, there will be four intense 25-lap heat races, where the top five finishers from each heat secure a coveted spot in the main event. A final twist awaits in the last chance qualifier, a 75-lap showdown for drivers who missed out on heat race advancement, with only the top two finishers earning the right to clash in the main event. Moreover, it’s going to be great to see Alvarez at such an important event that too as the Grand Marshal of the event.

The NASCAR broke the news of Canelo Álvarez’s involvement through its Instagram handle. The captions read: “This’ll be a knockout…excited to announce that Canelo Alvarez, super middleweight undisputed champion of the world, will be our #BuschLightClash Grand Marshal!”
