Among the lots of Frank Warren, Oscar De La Hoya, and Eddie Hearn, there remains a promoter who is revered for the way he navigates through the sport. In a cutthroat order of business, this promoter has always held his ground to push for fair fights. And this humane way of maneuvering through the landscape has put him out there as a promoter with a golden heart. Perhaps that is why when a video of an athlete’s kind-heartedness toward a fan emerged, he was the first to commend it.
We are talking about the promoter, Lou DiBella. He is popularly known for promoting fighters like Regis Prograis, Tevin Farmer, and George Kambosos Jr. Lou is an advocate for the best representation of fighters so that they land the best deals. With such ethical intentions in place, of course, what he said to this ice hockey forward was not atypical of him.

A video has been going viral in which Boston Bruins’ headliner, Charlie Coyle, did something very heartwarming. In his recent game, he flipped a puck to one of the spectators in solidarity with her mother, a cancer patient. The fan stood by the rink and donned a purple jersey of the team. She held a placard that read, “I fought for my mom.” The game commemorated 25 years of a charitable organization, Hockey Fights Cancer. And the purple jersey was a reflection of that.

The fan seemed overwhelmed with emotions when she received the puck. Impressed by this kind gesture, Lou wrote, “The power of small acts of kindness … it can only take a few seconds to positively impact a life.” With his recognition of kindness, the promoter also has made headlines for a fighter he has newly signed.
Joe Goodall signs with Lou
DiBella Entertainment has signed Australian heavyweight sensation, ‘Big Bad’ Joe Goodall. He comes with a professional record of 10-1-1 and a staggering nine knockouts. Goodall’s journey to the professional ranks began with a stellar amateur career. It included approximately 90 fights. And victories in nearly 70 of them. Talking about the new partnership, Lou said, “Joe Goodall is a big, physically imposing, athletic heavyweight. I was extremely impressed with his emphatic win over Stephan Shaw. It wasn’t an accident, though; Joe defeated Efe Ajagba in the amateurs.”

Joe’s transition to professional boxing followed a family tradition of athleticism. His father is a former Australian Football League (AFL) player. In light of such a big move in his career, Joe said, “There are some huge fights out there for me and I look forward to showing not just Australia, but the world, who I am and what I am capable of. Having someone like Lou DiBella believe in me and my future is priceless.” He further added that the partnership pushes boxing beyond the US and the UK.
“All I have to do is keep winning and that dream will come true,” he said. Lou Dibella will anchor the fighter toward his dream. The promoter has a proven record in doing so for multiple legendary fighters. The likes include Jermain Taylor, Bernard Hopkins, and Paulie Malignaggi. It is his knack for bagging the best fights at the best prices that have promising fighters like Goodall flocking to him.
