Shaun White has officially completed his last Olympic games. On February 11th, he finished 4th in the finals of Halfpipe snowboarding, thereby ending his 4th Olympic medal dream.
The love and support from loved ones in such a time are of utmost importance. And the one person who has stuck with Shaun White through it all is his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev.
Nina has been his pillar of strength throughout these two years as he prepared for his last Olympics. Now, with it done and dusted, he can’t wait to go back home and begin his post-retirement life.

Shaun White cannot wait to reunite with his girlfriend
In a way, Shaun White is glad the Olympics is over. For the last 2 years, he has been preparing for the same day and night. His spot on the team was also in question until the very last moment, but he fought his way through and qualified for the finals, eventually.
Being the biggest sporting event, the Olympics can cause a lot of stress to the athletes, and White was no exception. Hence, he was nervous before his qualification run. Even though during the finals White started off quite well, he ended up finishing 4th.
Now, he is glad to get it over with and can’t wait to get back to his family and friends. Most importantly, he can’t wait to get back to the love of his life, Nina Dobrev.
“I can’t wait to get back and see her, see my family and start this next chapter of my life,”? said White.
Shaun has previously revealed that all his sisters have their own families, and he can’t wait to start one himself someday. Hence, one can speculate that this “new chapter” could mean starting a family for Shaun.
White would love to be a dad
In an earlier interview with US Magazine, White revealed that he can’t wait to start a family. It is one of the things in life that he looks forward to.
?I would love to be a dad. It?s just something that seems so exciting, you know? I love being around people, and I love the idea of having someone other than my own pursuits to look after,? said the 35-year-old.
