Alvarez picked AJ to win the fight, hilariously stating that it was because he was the younger fighter. Garcia also picked Joshua and claimed that he would have made the adjustments necessary after losing the previous match.
“I’m going with AJ this time around. I think he’ll make the adjustments. I like Robert Garcia in his corner. He’ll teach him to you know be more aggressive, fight off the front foot more. I think he needs to put that pressure on Usyk.” said Garcia. He also added that Usyk was more of a conventional boxer who focused on movement and does not possess the power of a heavyweight. ” Usyk’s a boxer. Usyk can break you down, but Usyk is not a big puncher for a heavyweight.” He added.
This was not all as boxing legends: Mike Tyson, Roy Jones Jr., and Evander Holyfield also gave their predictions for the fight along with some advice.
Mike Tyson, Roy Jones Jr., and Evander Holyfield chime in on Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2
Tyson believes that Usyk will be very hard to beat. He stated that Joshua would have a hard time matching the high pace and volume of Usyk. “It’s gonna be hard to beat Usyk because he’s fast he out punches you with his jab. Joshua needs to get away from the jab. That’s the only thing that he couldn’t handle. He couldn’t handle the jab,” said Tyson.
Moreover, Evander Holyfield also predicts that Usyk will beat Joshua. However, this was based on his gut feeling.”The gut feeling is that if everyone fights their fight and fight like they’re accustomed to fighting, then I think Usyk will win,” he said.
