Activision rolled out the Season 6 for Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare on September 29. Included in this season’s battle pass were two new guns, one AR (AS VAL) and a Sniper (SP-R 208). Players were happy to see new weapons arrive at the game and were expecting some changes to the meta with these additions.
However, while the guns did create the desired changes in the meta, they exceeded the intended impact to degree that made it feel broken. The guns have a glitch when used, along with a special magazine attachment.
The glitch allows players to penetrate as many walls as they want. Players are coupling the guns with the snapshot grenade. The grenade reveals the locations of enemies, even through walls. Therefore, players can shoot enemies easily through walls without having to resort to hacking.

Having these guns in a game basically ensures a player’s victory. Hence, gamers have been constantly complaining about the guns so that developers would notice it and fix it ASAP.
Call of Duty Warzone developers are dealing with the broken guns
After receiving probably thousands of complaints from players, Ashton Williams, Sr. Communications Manager for Infinity Ward, has finally responded. Speaking on behalf of the developers, she said, “We currently have a patch being tested that has weapon tuning for the AS VAL and SP-R 208.”

From the tweet, one can figure out that the developers aren’t planning to nerf the guns as such. Instead, they plan to remove the existing glitches and optimize the guns to better suit Warzone gameplay.

While many are happy with the news, there are always a few criticisms. Some players who had tough luck performing in the game felt much better after exploiting the glitch. The fact that the developers are planning to fix the glitch isn’t sitting too well with them. However, most agree that players should ace in the game purely through skill rather than by exploiting glitches.
Ashton concluded her tweet by saying, “Pending any unforeseen issues, we?ll release it as soon as possible.” Although the developers have delayed fixes in the past, the problem at hand is a huge cause for concern. Hence, players can expect them to roll out the patch soon enough.
