Call of Duty Warzone took the Battle Royale genre by storm when it released in March earlier this year. It garnered well over 50 million users, just a month after launch. However, such popularity comes with a price; it attracts a ton of hackers who ruin the experience for honest gamers. Infinity Ward may have a smart solution for the problems, starting this week.
When a game becomes as popular as Call of Duty Warzone, it becomes something of a catch-22 situation for the developers. The immense popularity also means various different issues from different sections of the user base. However, there is one prominent issue that the majority of the users have in common- hackers.
Warzone has been strewn with hackers in most games, which just puts honest gamers off. This has been a huge problem for Infinity Ward and despite banning well over 70,000 users for the same, it has been far from enough.

Call of Duty Warzone Hackers to be Pit Against One Another
In some great news for the fans though, the developers may finally have a unique solution for it. Starting this week, the makers will bring a change in the matchmaking protocol in Warzone. Suspected hackers in the game will be matched with others of the same ilk from here on out!
So basically, Infinity Ward will club cheaters together and let them play their own games. Pitting players using aimbot with others using the same, now that would be quite a sight!
That is a smart solution by the developers if it works as planned, that is.

Furthermore, if a player does get banned for hacking, the user who raised the report will get a notification confirming the same.

Timely action against this issue was the need of the hour for Warzone. Just a few days back it was reported that most console players were turning off the cross-play feature to avoid running into hackers.
An issue as frustrating as this can spell doom for any game. If not addressed it could very well result in a mass exodus of honest gamers. Thankfully, though, Infinity Ward seems determined to pull out all stops to rectify it. Hope it works, it would be a shame for a game as good as Warzone to die.
