Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare got a patch update yesterday. Keeping with the trend this year, Warzone has once stirred the pot up with the latest update. Infinity Ward has added new content, brought back a nerfed cargo truck in Solos mode while also introduced an item called Armor Satchel. The biggest talking point, though, is the introduction of a new type of contract- the ‘Most Wanted’ contract.

The new patch has enhanced Call of Duty Warzone in certain aspects for certain. For instance, players can now drop weapons from their inventory tab without having to find another weapon on the floor to trade it with. How the game has been calling for this.

Incidentally, as we mentioned above, the biggest change is the Most Wanted contract, a spin on the bounty contract. The bounty contract was an awesome feature in the game. When you activate a one, you are given a target somewhere around you that you have to hunt down and kill within three minutes.

For some inexplicable reason, Infinity Ward has now completely replaced the bounty contract with the Most Wanted contract. With this new contract, players in Battle Royale and Plunder can place a bounty on themselves. Once activated, you’ll be the target for every team on the map. Should you survive, you’ll successfully revive all your fallen squadmates.

A large section of the Warzone community is unhappy with this change. The fact that bounty contracts don’t exist anymore has truly irked a horde of players.

Let’s take a look at the reactions of popular streamers and content creators.

A name synonymous with Call of Duty, Nadeshot too was left irritated with change.

Marcel “BasicallyIDoWrk” Cunningham, an immensely popular YouTuber did not mince words when he addressed the update.

Ninja was mystified with the development as well.

Once again, Infinity Ward finds itself in hot water over Warzone. While it is unlikely to cause too much damage for now, perhaps they need to rethink their strategy here.

Time to wait and watch if Warzone goes from most wanted to…I don’t know, insert a pun here. I’m too miffed with Infinity Ward to think of one.
