The hacking situation in Call of Duty: Warzone has caused a lot of problems for the player and the developers at Activision. The popular Battle Royale title has come under a lot of fire recently for its rampant cheating issue. This has caused many players and celebrated streamers like Dr Disrespect, Courage, and Nickmercs to switch over to other games like Apex Legends.
Along with that, other titles that don’t have the Activision’s developmental budget for a game seem to be doing much better at handling this issue. Recently, fans found out about the security features implemented by small developers to prevent hacking. The developer at Activision has received a lot of shade recently from its community. But after seeing the performance in other FPS titles, the backlash has become worse.

Splitgate doing a great job at banning cheaters compared to Call of Duty: Warzone
Recently, 1047 Games developed FPS title Splitgate has gained a lot of attention from fans of the genre. The developers consider it to be a cross between iconic franchises of the genre in Halo and Portal. The game has a small team of developers working on it, however it has gained a lot of positive reviews from critics and fans alike.
Splitgate has also received a lot of applause for keeping cheaters at bay. With the player base increasing a lot recently, players have noticed no drastic issues with servers. The developers have handled issues like that perfectly, while also implementing measures to stop cheaters. They have done this by making sure that the hackers receive a hardware/IP bans. This prevents them from creating new accounts on their devices, which has done wonders for its community.
Community disappointed with Activision’s approach
Seeing the smooth experience in Splitgate has caused the Call of Duty community to feel very disappointed with their game. For months, they have asked the developers at Raven Software to provide a solution for a problem like this. However, it has never arrived, and this has made them feel quite disheartened because the developers don’t have any excuses. Players have seen games with smaller budgets have much better measures to prevent hacking. So it’s still unclear why Activision hasn’t done the same for Call of Duty: Warzone.

However, many players have also backed Activision in this fight as they believe that Splitgate still has a small community. This has prevented them from having cheaters from the world of Warzone or other popular Battle Royale titles. But, they still berated Activision for not coming up with measures to improve the game, and it remains to be seen if the situation will improve soon.
