After its release in March, Call of Duty: Warzone has been on a constant upwards trajectory. Infinity Ward’s maiden venture into the battle royale genre with Call of Duty: Warzone saw millions of players flock to their title. The game, a massive success already within ten days of launch, reached a milestone of fifty million registered players a month after its launch.
However, massive popularity comes with a con; it attracts a ton of cheaters who ruin the experience for honest gamers. Warzone is the latest victim in a list of free-to-play battle royale games, overrun by cheaters who use hacking software such as aimbot and wallhack. Infinity Ward didn’t hold back either.
The developers acted swiftly by permabanning such accounts 70,000 a couple of weeks back. They have implemented a more robust system for distinguishing cheating accounts. A few days back, the developers also incorporated a unique system that matched hackers against each other in the same lobby as a punishment.
