The Sherlock Holmes of Verdansk is back in action and has called a streamer out once again for allegedly cheating. Call of Duty pro Tommey is back on Twitch to investigating players suspected of cheating. However, it seems like he might have jumped the gun in this case.
Without an official anti-cheat, it is very tough to confirm if a particular player is hacking. However, Tommey has more than once taken it upon himself to expose cheaters in Verdansk. He also follows up on his accusations with a request to his fans to not give any hate to the player. While it is very responsible of him to do so, Tommey is not always right with his claims.
The $250K Twitch Rivals Doritos Bowl Warzone event stumbled upon some difficulties after multiple cheating accusations. There were multiple accusations of hacking and Twitch disqualified players based on the evidence they received.

Twitch banned METZY_B, kyrptic_j0ker, and Unifyz from the tournament after receiving multiple reports of hacking.
During the Twitch Rivals: Doritos Bowl ft. Call of Duty Warzone Final, Metzy_B was ruled to be cheating. As a result his team was removed from the event.
We take Twitch Rivals Player Conduct extremely seriously. We will continue to investigate any allegations of cheating.

Tommey was at the forefront of this controversy as he had a conversation with METZY_B live on his Discord channel. One clip went viral after Tommey inspected it and exposed it as a confirmation that METZY_B was cheating.
The suspicious part about the clip is that METZY_B’s aim locks on to a guy jumping from the window while shooting a player with the Riot Shield in front of him.

Soon, more Warzone influencers joined in and shared their two cents on the matter. FaZe Nickmercs believes there is a need for an official anti-cheat in Verdansk.
Unfortunately without anti-cheat, authentic Warzone tournaments just aren’t possible anymore. We learned a lot from those Gauntlets & I’ve been tellin’ y’all.. There’s too much cheese & way too many rats. Bob & weave baby.

However, all this noise actually didn’t end up doing any good. Fans appreciate Tommey for all the passion he has for the game that propels him to investigate every player in this fashion. Nonetheless, it turned out METZY_B was, in fact, not cheating at all.

METZY_B kicked out from the Call of Duty Warzone event with wrong allegations
METZY_B joined Tommey in a Discord conversation and cleared his name of cheating. The streamer played the small-timer card and inferred Tommey was heckling him because of the backing of his vast audience.
Though he remained disqualified from the tournament, many critics who were quick to judge, soon deleted their tweets. But Tommey almost immediately started receiving some hate for his actions. He posted on Twitter later, saying he did not report METZY_B to the admins and that he was wrong with his assumption.
I’ll hold my hands up and admit we were wrong. I’m sorry for letting a lot of you down. I don’t know what more to say, but I accept and deserve anything that comes from this.

He even offered to give away his earnings from this Warzone tournament to METZY_B.
I didn’t get him kicked from the tournament, I didn’t report him or do anything of the sort. After he was reported I posted a clip from my chat. He is more than welcome to take my earnings from this.

It was highly reckless, and selfish on Tommey’s part to assume something without proper knowledge. Cheaters are obviously game-killers and they need to be ousted and exposed to the community. However, wrong use of influence and popularity cannot be the way.
Activision needs to step up its game and provide an efficient method to catch any cheater inside private tournament lobbies with huge cash prizes on the line.
