Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of the biggest and most followed games at the moment. However, time and time again, players have encountered a peculiar issue with Call of Duty titles; the game size. The developers have promised, over and over again, that they?d fix the issue, but apparently have missed out on it every single time.

Launching in 2019, Modern Warfare was a massive hit. Furthermore, they launched a battle royale in the game, in the form of Warzone, about 5 months ago. Since then, the game has been on quite a roll. In fact, Warzone just made a major milestone having 75 million players in the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – still the same issues

A twitter user came forth complaining about the game?s size on the PC. You wouldn?t naturally expect a single game to take up 200GB of space on your gaming system or console. Unfortunately, that is what is happening to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players.

The user also questioned why Activision has promised a fix but has done anything but. The campaign mode in the game alone cannot be deleted or uninstalled and those concentrating on Warzone are stuck with such a big game size as well.

This, however, is totally possible on consoles. You can delete certain files of the game parts you do not need and there wouldn?t be any issues. You could delete campaign packs, multiplayer packs, and more. It is not the same case with PC players and that is disturbing.

The need for change

Season 5 just dropped some days back but that hasn?t solved any issues. As always, the update size was supposed to be normal, and well, that didn?t happen. The update was around 50GB and that enraged many players once again. Now, with this enormous file size on PC, players are more disheartened than ever.

Now, if you ask what is the major issue with large game sizes, the answer is simple. A vast majority would skip out on the game just by seeing such a huge download size. Moreover, the game will take up a lot of space on your drive, and people aren?t really fond of that.

Developers have promised to fix this several times in the past. They are making efforts but the results are far from sight. More updates will drop in no time, and if this is the same case even then, it?d spark another round of controversies. Hopefully, they get their Call of Duty titles fixed by then.
