Call of Duty Modern Warfare Leaks Reveal Potential New Weapons For Season 4

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 3 is approaching its conclusion, with Season 4 set to begin in June. Each season generally brings a bunch of new content alongside new weapons. Players can unlock the weapons via the Battle Pass or by completing particular in-game challenges. Some are even purchasable through micro-transactions.

Infinity Ward has not yet shed light on what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 will bring. But now, data miners have revealed potential weapon additions for the upcoming season from in-game files. The leaks originate from Redditor JeaneJWE, who posted the detailed information on r/modernwarfare subreddit. After that, prominent CoD leaker, TheGamingRevolution, featured the weapon leaks in a recent video on YouTube. They foresee the upcoming season bringing two to three new weapons.

What are the weapons possibly coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare?

Both JeaneJWE and TheGamingRevolution provide an early look and give an idea of the progression of the development for the weapons. The evidence and information they provide suggest that the possible new additions include Galil AR, APC9 SMG, Vector SMG, HK G28 DMR, and the XM109 anti-material rifle.

The leaker’s video displays footage of some modifications, including camos available for the Galil, obtained from an unnamed source. They also provided audio of the AR’s gunfire. Similar footage and audio are provided for the Vector SMG from the in-game files. Next up is the HK G28. Although no assets are available just yet, the DMR’s accuracy is on par with sniper rifles in its stat graph.

The APC9 seems to appear lower in the list of possible additions, despite being in the game files since launch and having four distinct blueprints. Apparently, development of the SMG was finished before the game’s launch, but since it hasn’t arrived yet, the ACP9 seems an unlikely addition in Season 4, explains the Reddit post.

Finally, comes the XM109. Among all the weapons mentioned above, this anti-material rifle seems most unfinished of the lot with no visual assets or attachments defined. Audio of its gunfire is available, though.

Vector and Galil likely additions

For now, both JeaneJWE and TheGamingRevolution believe the Galil and the Vector will hit the servers with the fourth season and expect the G28 to arrive later as a mid-season weapon. As for the APC9 and the XM109, both might come to Modern Warfare at some point in the future. However, right now, both these guns seem unlikely to feature in Season 4.

Call of Duty: Warzone players can also access the weapons after they arrive in Modern Warfare. Since the leaks remain unconfirmed and the development process undergoes constant changes, there is no guarantee about the arrival of any weapon. As we wait for the official word from Infinity Ward, hopefully, it will be sooner than later.
