The last year proved to be a great one for the Call of Duty franchise. A lot of pros and fans were skeptical about how well Black Ops Cold War would do given Modern Warfare and Warzone were still in their prime. However, BOCW managed to live up to the huge hype that it had built prior to its release.

BOCW surely hit a few speed bumps on the way because of the occasional glitches and issues. But overall, the game turned out to be a tremendous success, especially in its single-player mode.
2020 was quite profitable for the gaming industry. With almost the entire human population stuck at home, people mostly only had video games to keep them company during the lockdown.

Recently, the data analytics firm Superdata revealed the statistics for the performance of premium titles in 2020. Turns out, Call of Duty Modern Warfare topped the list. Black Ops Cold War, on the other hand, managed to crack the top 10, ranking sixth on the list.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare turned out to be the biggest premium title of 2020
According to Activision, the Call of Duty franchise generated over $3 billion in revenue from December 2019 through the end of November last year.
Although BOCW ranked sixth on the list, it has been a favorite for many fans in the gaming community. Players have been facing issues and complaining about certain aspects of the multiplayer; however, the game is currently in its first season and things might get better in the upcoming ones.

On the other hand, the integration of BOCW into Warzone has already started resulting in positive feedback from the community.
Apart from Call of Duty Modern Warfare, the list also features FIFA 20, Grand Theft Auto V, and NBA 2K21 as some of the highest-grossing premium titles of last year.
