The latest 1.28 update patch is live now on Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone. This current season has made a substantial buff to the arsenal of both these titles, along with some significant changes and additions. The patch notes made a detailed description of all that is new to the game currently. However, it looks like devs have secretly introduced a new weapon in both the titles.

Reddit user u/Icatcher has posted a video on the CoD Modern Warfare subreddit that shows this new weapon.

Devs secretly added a beast called JAK-12 to Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone

This new weapon is known as the JAK-12 in the game and is an automatic shotgun. As is evident from the video, the gun packs quite the firepower. As it says in the caption of the video, players can obtain this gun by scoring 3 hip-fire kills with a shotgun in 7 successive matches.

However, there is another way how players can obtain this weapon: by spending CoD points. This gun is a part of the Lacedaemon Bundle. In return for 1100 CoD points, you can be the proud owner of this devastating mean machine through a legendary blueprint.

The gun can evidently deal explosive damage in close-range firefights. Well, that is pretty much the functionality of any shotgun out there. However, the JAK-12 would require a good deal of handling. Being an automated shotgun, it has an insane amount of recoil. We recommend either modifying its ease of use using Gunsmith or keeping the recoil in mind while using it.

But look at the bright side, this gun allows you to deal heavy damage in maps that encourage close-quarter battles. For example, Docks, Speedball, Pine, etc. are some maps where you can put this beast to good use. If you can manage to tame the beast, you will be a tough cookie to beat.
