Titled ‘Into the Dark Aether: A New Zombies Story’, Treyarch’s recent blog gives a lot to swallow. The Zombies fans who have eagerly waited for over a decade, finally have something new to cherish. The Zombies reveal happened a while back and that got us all excited for the big launch that is up in a week’s time. Very soon Call of Duty fans will set upon an adventure in the dark secrets of the Cold War, across various timelines.
The Easter eggs were all around and fans got together to sew in the new storyline much before the final reveal. The story revolves around the conflict between superpowers to take control of the dark power that resides amidst this convolution. This is the background of the first episode of the Dark Aether story: Die Maschine.
?Everything that happened in the Aether Story actually happened. At the end of Black Ops 4, our heroes?in their various incarnations?sacrificed themselves in order to collapse the multiverse and banish the evil they bravely fought to the Dark Aether.

Players can play the mode as characters from the campaign or as Operators from the multiplayer. A series of free Zombie maps will also be released for the first time. If you are not aware, players had to pay to play on multiple Zombie maps in previous Black Ops titles.

Perks make a return in Zombies with Cold War. Players can find upgradeable perks like Speed Cola, Juggernog, and Quick Revive. Further to that, Ray Guns are confirmed and can be found in Mystery box loots.
