Does Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War have nighttime maps?

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War has Outbreak maps that have nighttime variants, at least sometimes because of the Dark Aether holdouts. In this Zombies mode, the developers have added a night filter to all the maps when players start the holdout objective. Along with that, the Sanatorium map which arrived during the mid-season update in late March of this year takes place in the dark as well.

It’s clear to see that it wouldn’t be too hard for Treyarch to develop these maps and release it as DLCs in the upcoming months. Fans will have to wait for a few more months before they have their first look at Call of Duty WWII: Vanguard. Until then, they can enjoy a lot with these maps in the dark because the gameplay will change a lot. They can even release it for multiplayer which should excite a lot of players as well.

Will these maps arrive in Year 2?

Another yearly cycle for Black Ops Cold War could be possible even though it never gained massive traction like Modern Warfare. The developers at Treyarch aren’t that involved in the development of the Zombies mode in WWII: Vanguard. So, fans can hope for Year 2 of content from the developers with minor updates.

Fans might ask for major DLCs and expansions from Treyarch. But they wouldn’t mind the developers adding weather variants to existing Outbreak regions and multiplayer maps. Players can have an amazing experience with this game because of these updates even though everyone will shift their focus to the new Sledgehammer title. In the end, the ball is in the hands of Activision and Treyarch, and fans are hoping that they will do something about this.
