Treyarch has revealed further details about the upcoming title in the Call of Duty series, Black Ops Cold War. As fans await its release, Lead Game Designer of Treyarch, Tony Flame has posted a tweet describing the gunsmith system in the upcoming title.

From the looks of it, it seems that this gunsmith system will be nothing like what we have seen so far in CoD.

This level of detail is something fans have never seen before. Instead of the usual green and red markers indicating whether the attachments have enhanced your weapon, players can now see detailed values of the changes. In addition to this, it indicates the pros and cons of current attachments and the ones you select.

Players can now see in detail even the most minor changes they have made with the attachments. Moreover, players can also see the overall difference that their choice of attachments has made.

In addition to this, Black Ops Cold War will include live gun updates direct from the engine. Instead of having a weekly or so update making the changes made to the game’s arsenal, the game will now update the changes live. Like, if devs either nerf or buff a weapon, the game’s engine will update that information in-game in real-time. Now, this is again something that players have not seen before, certainly not in any CoD title.

Looks like Treyarch is leaving no stone unturned in its design of Black Ops Cold War. Although BOCW might be one of the most anticipated games of the year, one has to remember that this title will release while MW and Warzone are still in their prime. As of now, looks like the game will live up to the hype it has generated.
