Few days have passed since Call of Duty launched the Season 2 update. While a lot of new content arrived for the Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer and new storylines for Warzone, the biggest change came in Zombies. The highly popular game mode received a new event called Outbreak, which has fans buzzing to play.?The new event is one of the biggest changes to the game mode, and fans have praised its introduction.

Outbreak increases the difficulty of the game from regular Zombie modes and also introduces a high-risk, high-reward system. Fans can carry on the game to increase their rewards, but also risk everything they have earned. As the difficulty has increased, it has limited the scope of weapon selection for players, and the community considers these two starter guns as the cream of the crop.

The Hauer 77 in Black Ops Cold War

Even though choosing the starter gun becomes necessary, it is important to note that these guns are still inferior to the wonder guns. The best wonder weapon to use in Outbreak has to either be the Ray Rifle or the Ray Gun. That being said, one of two best spawn guns will be the Hauer 77, a shotgun very popular in regular Zombies.

For a shotgun, the Hauer has impeccable range while dealing a significant amount of damage. But players need to level up the gun using a Pack-A-Punch as the earlier versions of the weapon does not do similar damage.

The long range Assault Rifle

Even though the Hauer provides a very good range for a shotgun, its limitations arrive later on, for targets in the long-range. This calls for an assault rifle and the AK-47 does a more than a satisfactory job of it. It became a popular choice for players to use on Dark Aether, and the gun has significant advantages in Outbreak too.

An AR of such caliber helps in different objectives of Outbreak, such as in the Payload missions, where dealing damage from various ranges helps. While there are other weapons to use in Outbreak, these two definitely make the job easier for players.
