Popular insider Tom Henderson tweeted this earlier. Given Tom’s track record regarding insider news and updates, this could be credible information. Popular CoD news channel, COD Tracker also hinted at the same.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War isn’t the only game to first release on PlayStation
Interestingly, Black Ops Cold War will make its debut on PS4 before it comes to any other platform. The same had happened with Marvel’s Avengers. PC and Xbox fans will have to wait a while longer for the beta drop. It will most likely be available in stages for different platforms, and players will need to pre-order the game to take part in the beta.
This isn’t the first leak to appear about the CoD 2020 title. Speculation about the title has been doing the rounds for more than four months now. Practically every detail about the game was leaked before the teaser and trailer even came out. So far, the leaks have been spot on, right from predicting the title to the storyline of the game.

Recently, more information about the upcoming multiplayer mode in the game, the maps, and a list of potential weapons was also revealed. All of this will be officially unveiled to the world on September 9, 2020. A complete list of Campaign Map codenames has also been leaked and at this point, there seems to be nothing that fans don’t already know about the game. The fan-favorite Zombies Mode will also make a comeback with this year’s title. This was another piece of information that gamers can thank the leaks for.
The Beta drop will probably let the players experience some part of the campaign. Since the multiplayer reveal is scheduled for September, players may also get to experience it in the beta. So far, there has been no official confirmation regarding this, but an announcement should be made soon.
