People spend years trying to understand technology, but it will always find a way to stump everyone. Apparently, poor old Josh Allen got quite muddled up during a Zoom conference call.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback told reporters that he made a rather embarrassing gaffe during one of the team meetings. As it turns out, his role that day was to call plays and work on cadence.

According to NFL Network’s Kimberly Jones, the 24-year-old did not realise that he left his microphone on mute. Finally, the Buffalo Bills player came to his senses, though he needed somebody else to tell him. As a result, Josh Allen practically wasted 20 minutes calling out plays to nobody but himself.

Josh Allen is not the only one to embarrass himself

While Josh Allen is still trying to get to grips with technology, he can take comfort in the fact that he is not alone. According to San Francisco 49ers reporter, Keiana Martin and George Kittle often trolled Jimmy Garoppolo. San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk confirmed the same and said that it often takes place during Zoom meetings.

According to Juszczyk, Kittle puts up old photos of Garoppolo from his middle school or high school days as his background. Obviously, he is merely doing it for a laugh, and Garoppolo is a good sport about it. It just goes to show how much camaraderie there is in the locker rooms and how much they respect each other.

Coming back to Josh Allen though, the 24-year-old is looking forward to the NFL season finally kicking off. Needless to say, the Buffalo Bills are on a mission and Allen is determined to see it through with them. Hopefully for his sake, when the next Zoom call takes place, he will remember to unmute himself.
