If Bubba Wallace wasn’t a NASCAR driver, he would have done extremely well as a motivational speaker. Recently, he took to Twitter to post a simple and inspiring message. The American driver has been through a lot during the past couple of years. Needless to say, it has changed his perspective on life as he knew it.
Wallace wrote, “To my people that feel like giving up. To my people that feel like sh** constantly, to my people that feel like they won’t amount to sh**. To my people that feel like they can’t do, to my people that feel..nothing. I too live it at times. Giving up is not an option for us. Keep grinding thru it, yes it’s hard. You control your own destiny, not others. Can’t means you’re not trying hard enough. Stay persistent. Everyday is new opportunity. Keep on keeping on, even when you feel like giving up.”
To my people that feel like giving up..
To my people that feel like shit constantly..
To my people that feel like they won’t amount to shit..
To my people that feel like they can’t do..
To my people that feel..nothing..
I too live it at times..

This message could be interpreted in a variety of ways, especially since Wallace has been getting increasingly involved in social affairs since 2020. Admittedly, he did face some retaliation, but the entire NASCAR community has firmly stood by his side in solidarity.
What else could Bubba Wallace be referring to?

Another interpretation could refer to Kyle Larson, who won at last weekend’s Las Vegas race. Back in 2020, Larson landed in a lot of hot water for using uncouth language while in an online race. As a result, he got suspended from NASCAR and was fired from his team.
After Larson took some time off to reflect on his actions and to keep himself active, Hendrick Motorsports swooped in. Following the departure of Jimmie Johnson, HMS showed Larson the first sign of forgiveness. To be precise, they offered him a spot in their squad alongside Chase Elliott, William Byron, and Alex Bowman.

Suffice it to say that Larson eventually paid them back with a maiden win in Hendrick Motorsports colors. When Larson won, Bubba Wallace was among the first to personally congratulate the driver. This was yet another sign that all was forgiven from last year’s transgressions.
