Brock Lesnar is known for his quiet personality and his seclusion from people. It isn’t any TV gimmick. He exhibits similar traits even when outside the WWE ring or the UFC octagon.

Brock Lesnar likes to keep his circle small. Ones that he truly loves and trusts, and no one else. The people within this exclusive circle know him for who he actually is. He isn’t one to go around just making friends for the sake of it. He makes relations that last a lifetime.

Brock’s best friend and right hand, Paul Heyman, gave us a peek at Lesnar’s story. Also, a lot of his close friends and colleagues speak on Lesnar’s rise to success from his college wrestling days, to being recruited by WWE and his ultimate shift to the UFC.

Brock Lesnar’s rise to success wasn’t easy for him, says Paul Heyman. He has been by Lesnar’s side almost throughout his career, and has witnessed his rise personally. He talks about Lesnar’s fight with diverticulitis, and how the illness stood in his way of him reaching his full potential. Paul said, “The battle with diverticulitis was a very humanizing time for Brock Lesnar. And he didn’t like it. He was very concerned. He almost died from it. And then rightfully concerned with how much of his career he was going to be robbed of and deprived of.”

Colleagues speak about Brock Lesnar

One of his former colleagues, Kurt Angle, spoke highly of the wrestler. He said, “God made him to be the formidable athlete that everybody wants to be, as far as strength, size, speed, explosiveness. He is a freak of nature.” Kurt Angle praised Brock’s dedication and natural talent that has made him who he is today.

Brock puts family first. WWE superstar Rey Mysterio says, “I remember at one point Brock being miserable. This is right before he left WWE in 2004 the first time. We were going to Europe, and my wife and I were sitting right behind Brock on the charter plane. I just saw Brock biting the f— out of his nails and looking at a picture of one of his kids. It really hit him, the fact that he had to travel so much. That was the human side of him. The father instinct that he has. Shortly after that, he was like, “I’ve gotta get out of here, bro. I can’t f—ing do this anymore.”
