Frenchman Patrick Mouratoglou, coach of Serena Williams, is no less excited than anybody else for the coming Australian Open 2021. To put his emotions in a visual form, he shared a picture of Serena warming-up in Melbourne Park last year.
Notably, the 23-time Grand Slam champion and her coach are known for their many unconventional training regimes. In the throwback picture, Serena is seen stretching on a hand-stand before one of her matches.
Looking forward, the 50-year-old French coach alarmed the other players by saying he and his student were ready for the first Slam. The hype around the Australian Open will be unimaginably bigger if the American champion can pull off her 24 major there.

The post also has a video that shows Serena being helped by a trainer in performing the exercise. In addition to that, Mouratoglou even shared a view of a packed Melbourne Park arena during one of Williams’ matches in 2020.
“Ready to turn our world upside down for the next month,” Patrick wrote. “Bring it on, Australia.”

Serena Williams’ coach positive about Australian Open 2021
The 39-year-old will travel to Adelaide this week, to go under the two-week quarantine. She will even participate in an exhibition match there, along with the Top 3 men and women of tennis.
But all that is not in prime focus for the American. Both she and her coach want to win the Australian Open title and make history happen. However, she is already the leading major titles’ winner from the Open Era of the sport.
Last year, the former World No. 1 ended her campaign in the third-round stage of the Happy Slam. She won her latest 23rd Slam in the same tournament back in 2017.
Is 2021 the last chance for Williams to win title number 24?
Since her return to tennis after becoming a mother, Serena’s biggest goal has been the 24 Grand Slam. Earlier, she confirmed that breaking Margaret Court’s all-time record is the only reason she is still playing.

Williams is only one Slam away from equalling the Australian legend’s record of 24 major titles. However, the American has failed in the four Slam finals that she has made it to in the recent past.
Considering her coach’s positive enthusiasm, fans should expect something big from the 4-time Olympic Gold medallist. She might finally turn her recent bout of bad luck around at the major tournaments.
