Defending champions France has been one of the most dominant teams in the FIFA World Cup. They had an incredible roster lined up for the soccer mega-event. However, they have been hit with injuries during the World Cup. But despite that, they have arguably been the best team in Qatar. They beat Morocco to qualify for the final of the World Cup. Karim Benzema was set to lead the forward line for the French side in Qatar. However, he injured his left thigh during a training session ahead of the World Cup, ruling him out of the tournament.

During the World Cup, Olivier Giroud replaced Karim Benzema in the team’s lineup. Giroud has been in insane form and has scored 4 goals, only behind Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. However, there seems to be a chance of Karim Benzema joining the team back if France reaches the final.

Karim Benzema returned to the Spanish capital after being ruled out of the competition by Didier Deschamps. He worked out with the club and has reportedly improved his injury condition.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid will allow Karim Benzema to play in the final of the World Cup. France has managed to beat Morocco in the semi-final and will face Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the final of the competition.

Benzema’s addition is bad news for Argentina, who will now have to prepare for another top player. However, they have been in greater form in the competition and will surely give a tough fight to the defending champions.
