Jon Jones is putting an end to the saga of “lies” with Dana White. In an astonishing move, “Bones” took to Twitter to announce that he is relinquishing his Light Heavyweight title.
This comes after nearly a week of ugly banter with UFC President Daa White. While Jones claimed that he never put a price on the super-fight with Francis Ngannou, White said that he demanded too hefty a sum to fight “The Predator”.
This soon became a huge altercation, and Jones has decided to put an end to it.

#ESPN Reyes vs Jan For the UFC light heavyweight championship of the world. As of right now, I got nothing to really gain fighting either of them. Let me know if you guys want to set up a day in 2021 for that Izzy fight. Hopefully you guys will be willing to pay by then.

Even though Jones wants nothing to do with the Light Heavyweight division anymore after having been one of the most dominant forces, he is still willing to fight the right fight for the right price.
He has had enough beefs in his time with the promotion. But the one beef that everyone looks forward to being solved inside the Octagon is the one with Middleweight Champion, Israel Adesanya. And apparently, Jones will fight “The Last Stylebender” for the right price.
Jon Jones feels his pay is not worth the damage anymore
As the last Tweet in the series where he announced the news of his unwillingness to fight, he responded to a fan. Brother_Jason said that Jones’ move would hurt Jones himself more than it would the UFC. Jones replied saying that he hurts himself every time he steps into the Octagon. And thus, his pay does not compensate for it anymore.
I hurt myself every time I walk out there and take a punch to the head and Not feel my pay is worth it anymore. https://t.co/X3BjGA9d02
