Former Atletico Madrid and Monaco striker Radamel Falcao has agreed to join Chelsea, after accepting the personal terms.  Falcao will move to Chelsea next month.

Last week it was reported that Blues owner Roman Abramovich is ready to break the bank by offering the Colombian star a whopping £200,000 a week deal in a bid to lure him to the West London. Falcao has chosen Chelsea after Mourinho promised to handle the striker in a manner which proved beyond Louis Van Gaal methods, during his stay at Manchester United. According to sources close to the deal, Falcao is now “100%” committed to Chelsea. Though it’s still to be decided whether it would be a loan or a full transfer after finalising the terms with AS Monaco.

Jose Mourinho said last week that he would love to help Falcao “reach his level again” after the striker had a poor run during a season long loan at Manchester United. As Jose said in a typically loaded comment: “It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United”.

Falcao was far away from his best last season. He was in and out of the team , clearly the injury he sustained before the season was the reason for his depleted form. But Chelsea believe they could still bring the best out of him. The 29 year old can deliver 20+ goals a season, though with United he scored only 10 in around 30 appearances. This could be a gamble for Chelsea !
