Fortnite has added yet another limited time mode to the game in the form of Shockwave, which arrived in the game on Thursday. This game mode is a fun one, and most players would agree it is unlike anything Fortnite has provided its players before.
Epic introduced the mode as a part of the Operation Snowdown update.
“Operation Snowdown will bring in a rotating selection of returning LTMS, including the new Shockwave LTM which is all about knocking your enemies into a powered up Storm, and the debut of Pickaxe Frenzy in LTM form.”

Players who hopped into the mode faced some problems with their collected gold bars. Those who had worked hard to complete bounties and side quests and amassed a huge number of bars were losing them while playing this LTM.

How does the new Shockwave LTM in Fortnite work?
This new mode requires players to hop into a selected region on the island in duos. In that small area, they will spawn with selected weapons and can opt to open a crate that is in the middle. Players have no health bar, rather they have a percentage bar.
The more a player gets shot, the higher the percentage goes up and they get bounced into the storm. A few seconds in the storm and that player is eliminated. Therefore, the underlying objective of this mode is to gain map control and knock players away into the storm.

This mode takes place in multiple rounds and the team securing three rounds gets the Victory Royale. Whenever a team wins a round, they get marked, making it harder for them to hide from the enemy duos in the next round.
Anybody who is Smash Bros fan will know where this LTM got its inspiration from.
Since it is a limited-time event, hop into the game as soon as you can before it leaves the playlist. Check out the video below to see how
