So on this New Year’s Day, the 75-year-old fitness icon launched a newsletter to inspire people to start working out. Within 133 days of its release, 431,000 people have signed up for the newsletter,?Arnold’s Pump Club. Many among them have thanked the?bodybuilding?icon for helping them. The latest testimony comes from a Twitter user who weighed over 400 lbs.

In the tweet, the fan tagged the Austrian Oak, thanking him for inspiring him to start working out. While the fan has lost a lot of weight, he still has a long way to go. However, the former Mr. Olympia’s response to his tweet might give the user all the motivation he needs.??

Schwarzenegger is a man on a mission

Earlier, Twitter user Donald Nathan, who is currently on his ambitious weight loss journey, showed his appreciation toward Arnold Schwarzenegger and his daily fitness newsletter. He also thanked the 75-year-old for making a podcast version of his newsletter.?“Love the podcast the newsletter soo glad I joined,”?Nathan wrote.

The fan revealed he started going to the gym a month after Arnie’s newsletter launched.?“In February I walked in the gym for the first time in a few years,”?stated Nathan. However, during that time, his weight had reached a dangerous level.?“I weighed 425 and feeling really bad,”?disclosed Nathan. However,?“I’ve consistently been at it 5/6 days a week. I’m now 390,”?he added.

However, Donald Nathan has a long journey ahead of him.?“I need to get down to 300 for knee replacement,”?he stated. Schwarzenegger, who regularly browses through his fans’ tweets, spotted Nathan’s tweet and cheered him on.?“Congratulations! That?s a lot of weight,”?wrote Schwarzenegger in his response.

The five-time Mr. Universe also encouraged the member of his village.?“I know you can do it. I?m proud of you,”?he added. While Schwarzenegger is doing his part, motivating others to live healthier lives, the rising rate of obesity also worries him.

Arnold Schwarzenegger on obesiety

In March, the bodybuilding legend revealed some shocking stats about the obesity rate in America. According to the Governator, obesity rates in America have been rising since 1975. The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases says 42% of Americans are obese and a further 30.7% overweight.

However, the number was not the American, but the global GDP.?“As it stands today, the cost of obesity is already 2.4% of the entire global GDP,”?revealed Schwarzenegger. Thankfully, Arnie’s efforts to help people are paying off. Not just Donald Nathan, but others have also credited the bodybuilding icon for helping them lose weight.
