35-year-old Samantha Irvin made waves today by announcing her departure as WWE Raw’s ring announcer, marking the end of her time with the company. The news prompted reactions from WWE star and social media influencer Logan Paul, who expressed his sadness over the farewell. He was not the only one though as iconic ring announcer Michael Buffer also paid his dues.
Irvin took X to share the update with her followers and the rest of the world with a lengthy and heartfelt final goodbye message. “WWE Universe, my time has come to an end as your Monday Night ‘Raw’ ring announcer. I love you all tremendously and this does not mark the end of my art, I have a lifetime more to share. Thank you to every WWE fan who accepted me,” Irvin wrote.
The 35-year-old expressed heartfelt gratitude to WWE’s wrestlers, particularly her fellow women in the locker room, along with the company’s crew and behind-the-scenes staff who played a pivotal role in her journey with the organization. Irvin highlighted Paul Heyman, Michael P.S. Hayes, Michael Cole, Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James, and more.

After this came to light, Logan Paul, who has had his differences with Irvin’s fiancé, Ricochet, in the past, set all the animosity aside to share his thoughts. “This upsets me,” Paul wrote. However, he wasn’t alone in sharing some parting words with Irvin’s exit from the WWE. Michael Buffer joined the conversation, writing, “NO! My wife and I are so sorry to hear this…”

“Samantha is brilliant & super professional as announcer+her musical talent as a singer & flautist are amazing,” Buffer added. Wishing her well for the future, Buffer hoped to see Samantha Irvin in the future in the boxing and MMA scene. Regardless, it’s worth mentioning that her fiancé Ricochet left the WWE to join the ranks of AEW—this past August.

While Irvin may follow her fiance to AEW, she was also a musician before her career in WWE. Her recent update to her X bio, which now lists her as an “Artist,” suggests that she may be focusing on her musical aspirations. That being said, what exactly was the beef between Logan Paul and Ricochet?

Logan Paul is a man that has his fair share of beefs, but his rivalry with Ricochet is extra special, as it blurs the line between what’s scripted and what’s real. The duo first came across each other during the Royal Rumble 2023, which resulted in a viral clip. They met again during the Money in the Bank—this time, the spectacle bigger than before.
Ricochet attempted an awe-inspiring Spanish Fly maneuver, which sent Logan Paul crashing through ringside tables. Although this didn’t result in either of the fighters winning the money in the briefcase, the rivalry just grew from there. The duo was captured on camera embroiled in an altercation backstage during Monday Night Raw back in July last year.
Unlike most performances in the ring, their backstage brawl was put together with such brilliance and realism that the fight didn’t seem scripted or choreographed, leading many to speculate whether it was real.
