WWE COO Triple H expressed surprise on the latest episode of Logan Paul‘s Impaulsive. He had admiration for Jake Paul’s strategy of taking his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson to streaming giant Netflix. “When I first heard that deal and you know I saw the announcement, just like everybody else did, I was like he’s gonna fight Tyson? And then just in my mind, I was like oh that’ll be a good pay-per-view, that’d be cool,” Triple H admitted on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. His initial reaction mirrored that of many boxing fans, expecting the highly anticipated fight to be a pay-per-view event.
However, the revelation that the fight would stream on Netflix as part of a broader deal caught Triple H off guard. “I was like they going to run a pay-per-view? And then when I realized, no it’s just on Netflix.” he recounted his thought process, a hint of disbelief in his voice. The full scope of Paul’s strategy then dawned on Triple H. “Oh my, kid’s a genius,” he exclaimed, acknowledging the potential reach of a Netflix broadcast compared to a traditional pay-per-view model.
Triple H views Paul’s decision as a daring gamble, “gambling on yourself and you know taking it to another level.” The potential viewership on Netflix is a massive advantage, a factor that excites the wrestling legend. “It’s really smart,” Triple H concluded, offering his stamp of approval on Jake Paul’s innovative approach to promoting his fight with Mike Tyson. Well, Triple-H is supporting this decision, because even WWE has made a deal with Netflix.

WWE’s flagship program, Monday Night Raw, is trading in cable cords for streaming glory. In a groundbreaking deal, Netflix has secured the exclusive rights to stream Raw for a whopping $5 billion over 10 years. Debuting in January 2025, this move marks a historic first for Raw, which has been a staple of linear television for over three decades. Fans in the US, Canada, UK, and Latin America can now catch the high-flying action and electrifying storylines on Netflix.
Interestingly, the deal goes beyond Raw. Netflix will become the exclusive home for all WWE shows and specials outside the US, including SmackDown, NXT, and the crown jewels of professional wrestling – WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble. “We are excited to have WWE Raw, with its huge and passionate multigenerational fan base, on Netflix,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria.
