Is Jake Paul's drinking before fights a sign of overconfidence or a recipe for disaster?

Logan and Jake Paul love to enjoy their life to the fullest and it is quite visible in their vlogs. However, given that they are professional sportsmen, it is imperative that they pay attention to their drinking habits. ‘The Problem Child’ recently came off a stunning victory against BKFC contender Mike Perry. Despite this, it was revealed that he consumed alcohol just two weeks before the fight, prompting concerns from his older brother, Logan Paul.

This incident has also raised concerns about his boxing career among colleagues, friends, and fans. He was reportedly so intoxicated that he didn’t even remember how he got home.

The 10-1 boxer was celebrating his victory over Perry on his podcast BS w/ Jake Paul. The episode featured Logan, their friends, and the well-known “Hawk Tuah” girl, Haliey Welch. They celebrated Jake’s victory by opening a ‘Dom Perignon’. As the episode went on, Logan funnily made light of the fact that alcoholism runs in their family. Following that, Jake Paul remarked, “They’ve been saying this all like ‘Alcoholism runs in our family.’ Be careful. It sprints in our family brother.”

Co-host Brandon Amato went on to recall that Paul had been drinking only a couple of weeks before the Mike Perry fight and said, “Everybody thought you were lying about drinking two weeks before the fight.” Concerned about the issue, Logan fretfully stated, “Why did you do that? Because you have a massive fight two weeks later and if you lose that fight, you don’t get to fight Mike Tyson.”

Whether it makes sense or not, Jake Paul had an explanation for this. “But I don’t lose unless it’s Tommy fury. I’m coming for you, Tommy. Yeah…I just know my ability,” responded Jake Paul. However, he admitted that he couldn’t even recall how he got home on that particular occasion. He acknowledged that he was an alcoholic, albeit boxing helped him cut back on his intake. However, he still has some way to go before he kicks the habit for good. While Jake claims to know his “ability” to drink, his brother, however, has vowed to quit drinking for good.
