There is still no date set for Tyson Fury to return to the boxing ring, with Deontay Wilder recovering and Dillian Whyte fighting Alexander Povetkin. Hence, the WBC heavyweight champion elected to explore a WWE call out from spring.

‘The Gypsy King’ tweeted a video where he called out WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. He said, “Drew McIntyre, anytime, anywhere, anyplace, buddy. Let’s get it on.”

The choice of words was exactly the same as his initial response to ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ in April.

The WWE Champion responded and accused Fury of using him to duck the Anthony Joshua bouts. He tweeted, “Anything to duck the AJ fight, ey? You know where to find me dosser. Let’s make history”

In June, the boxer teased a return to the ring, and his latest tweet adds more fuel to the possibility of Fury having a second wrestling match.

The Gypsy King’ made his WWE debut at last year’s Crown Jewel in October and beat the current Universal Champion Braun Strowman in a massive match. He showed that he could sell a WWE match and facing McIntyre will be a step up as he is one of the best performers in the promotion.

Can we see Tyson Fury vs Drew McIntyre?

Drew McIntyre dethroned Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 and has vanquished all challengers ever since. However, he must defend his belt against the dangerous Randy Orton in two days.

The narrative here is for ‘The Viper’ to claim the title and hold it until next year to set up a defense against Edge. This occurring will free McIntyre to have the cross-sport fight against ‘The Gypsy King’ as the belt will be in play, with Orton competing against a full-timer.

It can be assured that Tyson Fury will have an eye on SummerSlam to scout out his opponent.

‘The Gypsy King’ teasing a WWE match could mean that his boxing return is on hold for a while. Also, even with a boxing bout looming, he could make a quick return and feature in a hit and run or altercation to help build the fight.
