Especially in the last few decades, we have observed an increasing number of combat athletes having a go at other related sports. Most often, it occurs when their stars start fading at home. Mike Tyson at the Royal Rumble

The Sound and the Fury match between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield turned into the Bite Fight. Tyson bit off parts of Holyfield’s right ear during the third round. The WWE fans finally accepted Mike Tyson, and he became a WWE Hall of Fame member in 2012.

But, episodes from that era still reverberate through fans’ memories. For example, a recent clip gaining wide circulation shows a much younger Mike Tyson questioned by the TV host, “Hey, I’m here with Iron Mike Tyson. What did you think of the Royal Robbins? What do you think of Stone Cold?”

An excited Tyson replied, “Cold Stone is my man. You won’t know me. I won a fourth time. I celebrate tonight, and no one believes that he can win. I’m just happy.”

Stone Cold or Cold Stone…

Perhaps a slip of the tongue, but netizens pulled up Tyson, taking the WWE legend’s nickname incorrectly.

It can easily resurrect more than twenty years old beef or a petty grouse, many a time morphing over to other live issues. What do you think? Should old quarrels remain buried for good or given a new lease on life?
